AFRO MEDUSA

AFRO MEDUSA

'PASILDA'
AZULI SILVER
RELEASED 18 JULY

The biggest club track of the year 2000 is about to repeat its success when it is re-released this month.Yes its that enormous Balearic house track by Afro Medusa - 'Pasilda'. Ministry of Sound signed 'Pasilda' from Azuli back in 2000, and it entered the UK charts at No. 20. Now with DJs, clubbers, and tune spotters all still chasing this track, it is due for release in time for summer.

On this two-track CD Haji and Emanuel provide vocal and dub remixes - each more disappointing than the last. Both tracks are very repetitive which I, not being a dance music fan, find tiresome. They don't deviate from the simple beat and use of spanish guitars, and I ended up feeling that each track could have been a couple of minutes shorter. However, this may be normal for dance music tracks.

Although I don't like either of the tracks I can see their club appeal, and I'm sure they will be heard in a club near you very shortly.

Philip
