Stacie makes a 'Beautiful Awakening'!
One of the US’s biggest R'n'B teen stars returns with new album 'Beautiful Awakening' out 28th August.
Stacie Orrico leapt to fame at the age of 14 with two massive singles, the r’n’b flavoured ‘Stuck’ and ‘(There’s Gotta Be) More To Life’. She went on to sell 3.4million albums worldwide.
If you rated those last tracks, you’ll enjoy the forthcoming surefire hit, ‘I’m Not Missing You’ and the album it’s taken from, Beautiful Awakening, which arrives on 28th August.
The album charts her journey from newcomer to fully-fledged star. It features a variety of top-notch R'n'B producers including Dallas Austin, Dwayne Bastiany, Kaygee and co-writers such as Shekspear, Track & Field, Anthony Dent, and newcomer Novel.
Stacie says of it: ‘I wanted to make an album that you would want to put on while you’re sitting in your bedroom after a long day. I wanted it to have songs that I could sing accompanied by just an acoustic guitar.’
Stacie is truly a prodigy. She was born in Seattle in 1986, the daughter of Christian missionaries. She was discovered at 12, released her debut album at 14 and travelled the globe to promote her music at the age of 17.
Stacie plans to tour the UK early next year but before then you can check her out all across the media. So far, her single has entered the TV Airplay charts at Number 2 and is getting coverage all over the music channels.
Meanwhile, she’s also featured in Mizz, Ok/Star, Blues & Soul, G Magazine, Invincible, Echoes, Full On/Loud and is to appear on GMTV on 22nd August.
