The Departure
What was your latest video? BJ: 'All Mapped Out'. It was really good. BW: We just saw it today
What was the idea behind it? DJ: We based it on an art work, the 'red line', on set all these lines were going through each other- it's gonna be quite graphic, geometric! Oh and fast!
There was a lot of red involved... BW: yeah, red is the colour DJ: I was wearing red shoes as well
Why you releasing that track again? DJ: well, it was our first single and no-one really knew about us.
Who was the director? DJ: David Shadua? I dunno how to pronounce it! He did the Athlete- 'Wires' video...what else has he done?... LI: he's been around. DJ: it was a long day, he's fair but firm. AH: he's a really chilled director. He knows what he wants LI: every time we did a shot he made sure we knew what was going on. we felt really comfortable so we were like, "let's just perform".
What was the video you shot in Japan? DJ: That was 'Lump in my throat'
How did that compare? BW: It was cool. We didn't have to get up at 5 in the morning like Dave, we got up at 12. hardy har har! DJ: I had to wear these blocks in my shoes and ended up walking like a robot and raised me up- I ended up levitating around Japan. SH: Our performance was on a roof and only had a stereo not big speakers or anything.
Was that the first time you've been to Japan? SH: Yeah, the first time for everyone. |
