Musichead ask Jamelia Where its At
Musichead HQ managed to squeeze in a quick interview with UK songstress Jamelia just before she left Australia after her whirlwind promotional tour. And we have to say that while she has the talent of a genuine superstar, there ain't no superstar ego to match. She is the loveliest, most humble artist and boy if this scribe were a male ... OK I digress ... here we go!
Musichead: Thank you for taking time out to speak with Musichead.com.au. Firstly, the most important question have you been shopping while in Australia and whats the best thing youve bought?
Jamelia: Im ashamed to say Ive been thoroughly spoilt with lots of clothes by Wheels & Doll Baby and Sass and Bide, so I havent really had to spend a cent!
MH: This is your second visit to Australia now, what do you like about Australia? J: Wow thats a hard question

MH: And who are your biggest influences in life? J: My mum definitely, always has been and always will
MH: At what age did you know you could sing, and actually sing in tune? J: I suppose it was at 8 years old, when people used to say turn off the radio when I started singing!
MH: Whats your all time favourite karaoke tune? J: New York, New York by Frank Sinatra
MH: Which artist would you most like to collaborate with musically? J: Missy Elliott
MH: And which artist would you like to collaborate with in real life, so to speak?!? J: Pharrell Williams
MH: N.E.R.D will be performing at the upcoming V Festival back home, will you meet Pharrell then? J: No, I dont really want to meet him, hes a bit of a dog, hes just a fantasy in my head, but good eye candy!
